Velocity 3/4 Jointed 8 Ball Pool Cue

This 57” cue is crafted by Peradon in England and features both the Pro-line shaft and exotic Ebony

Manufacture & Specifications

The maple shaft timber is cut using patented technology in order to release the tension in the timbers before being laminated with walnut inlays to produce a shaft with minimal deflection. Although this cue still requires the same care as other quality cues, the 'Pro-line shaft' is more resistant to warping than conventional shafts.

The 'Pro-line shaft' is then checked for strength and straightness before the finest, genuine Ebony butt timber is spliced to the cue by hand and the cue is shaped to produce the distinctive four round point pattern of a hand spliced cue.

In order to reduce stress to the timbers the cue is then shaped over a period of time until the final tapered shape is achieved, after which the numerous sanding and finishing processes are then undertaken to achieve a 'silk smooth' finish.

To eliminate joint problems the two sections of the 'quick action' joint are each precision turned from a single piece of solid brass and precisely fitted 12" from the butt end to give the shaft length of 45".

On this cue the shaft is fitted with the female section of the joint, whilst the butt is fitted with the male. Cleverly, this enables the player to remove the 12" butt section of the cue and screw the 6" mini butt (supplied with the cue) directly into the shaft. This makes a 51" cue for those occasional awkward shots in restricted spaces.

The butt of the cue is also fitted with a 'quick action' butt end joint which will also accept the 6" mini butt supplied with the cue. This lengthens the cue to 63" enabling the player to use the cue more easily on some shots that require a rest.

The butt is finished with a Peradon Velocity name disc.

This cue features a solid brass ferrule and 9mm Elkmaster tip.
